The Boston Marathon takes place annually on the 3rd Monday in April and the 119th event takes place on April 20th.

The 2,000-square-foot space will include exhibits and memorabilia spanning the first 119 years of the Boston Marathon, including jackets, race bibs, medals, trophies and more, while visitors will be able to simulate every foot of the 26.2 mile course on a treadmill.

RunBase will feature premium Adidas footwear, apparel and gear that will only be sold at RunBase, so I will have to visit the store as soon as it opens.

“RunBase is a one-of-a-kind resource for runners based in and traveling to Boston,” Mikal Peveto, global director of running innovation at Adidas, said in a statement. “Adidas is taking its partnership with the Boston Athletic Association to the next level with the help of Marathon Sports to let runners experience the best of our brand and the spirit of the greatest race year-round.”

Adidas RunBase is located at 855 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, and will be open daily from 10 a.m. (9 a.m. during race weekend) to 8 p.m. and you can visit  www.bostonrunbase.com for more information.
