OSD The Class is in full swing, and it’s week 3.
Sneakers have done alot for people, whether it be usage for sports, casual wearing or in this making a career out it. During week 3 we had the great privilege to have 3 guest speakers talk about how sneakers effected them and how it changed there life.
Our first guest speaker was the one and only Chad aka Sneaker Galactus.
Chad works as an accountant during the regular 9 to 5, but his vast love for sneakers help him create the one and only sneaker sketch comedy show.
Just Blame Chad is on its 4 episode (3.5), and its basically a show with jokes and punch lines that sneaker lovers could relate to. The 1st 2 episodes were streamline and were like a written show but the 2 after were a free for all of sneaker debauchery. The last two episodes were basically a point and shoot whats going on around. There were sneaker events and interviews made all covered by the Just Blame Chad show mixed in with alot of jokes and fun; from making jokes on what people are wearing and asking people funny questions and hearing their answers. To put it short, it’s just genius.
Our next guest speaker is the creator of a website known as SneakerTube.TV, Pete aka Premium Pete.
SneakerTube itself is like a play on youtube but all about sneaker heads. SneakerTube is a website that showcases videos of everything that deals with sneakers from sneaker reviews to sneaker pick-ups, and even people showing us (the viewer) their neighborhoods and there local sneaker spots.
SneakerTube is a sneakerhead’s dream for the simple fact that its very user friendly, and it has everything to do with sneakers.
Pete also worked in the sneaker retail business part of the world and has a very good knowledge on sneakers and explains how he came about the idea for the site. He even gave out index cards to the class because that was one of the ways he got his ideas out of his head quickly and on paper.
Our next and last guest was the creator of the only sneaker head comic strip (illustrated or animated) which is called SN’EADS.
Ree is the man behind the comic strip. Ree is a professional illustrator who is very much into sneakers and decided one day to come up with something that relates to him and his passion, which birthed the comic strip.
Ree also came up with the viral video hit ”Read a book“, which was a instant classic and has over 2.5 million hits on YouTube.
This week was very interesting and informative I felt very privileged to have 3 people who use sneakers as a platform to get their ideas out to the public, and also share their love for shoes and in the long make a living off of it.
